How does a heat pump work?
It moves heat from the outside air (or ground) into your home, much like a fridge in reverse. For every unit of electricity it uses, a well-designed system delivers around three units of heat, which is why running costs can drop.
Will it keep my home warm in a UK winter?
Yes. Modern heat pumps work well below freezing. The key is sizing the system correctly for your home, which is exactly what our survey does.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your home, but the Boiler Upgrade Scheme takes up to £7,500 off and there's 0% VAT. Your free survey gives you a fixed price with the grant already deducted.
Do I qualify for the £7,500 BUS grant?
Most homeowners in England and Wales replacing gas, oil or electric heating do. We check your eligibility and handle the whole application.
How long does installation take?
Most installs take two to five days on site. We'll agree a schedule with you before we start and keep disruption to a minimum.
Do I need new radiators?
Not always. Some rooms may need a larger radiator to stay comfortable at lower flow temperatures. We'll tell you room by room during the survey.
Can it heat my hot water too?
Yes. A heat pump works with a hot water cylinder to provide all your hot water as well as heating.
